The meeting was coordinated by Yurii Rogovchenko, Professor of Agder University (Agder, Norway) and Inés Gomes-Chacon, Professor of the Faculty of Mathematics at the Complutense University of Madrid (Madrid, Spain). Within all period of the meeting, Professor Barbara Yavorsky, Professor in Math Education at the University of Loughborough (Loughborough, UK), consulted all project team members on approaches to the implementation of Inquiry Based Math Education (IBME).
As part of the event, the main issues of inquiry-based education on the basis of a three-layer model of research practice were considered. During the meeting the participants got acquainted with various ways of organizing mathematical communities in which university lecturers have the opportunity to consider the peculiarities of inquiry-based learning and teaching of mathematics. The participants of the meeting reviewed and discussed a number of cases that promote learning Mathematics employing an inquiry-based approach with the use of digital resources and will be implemented in the educational process of educational institutions involved in the project. In addition, the issue of implementation of case studies for students with special needs was presented to the participants of the meeting.
