On February 27, 2019 the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine, Zhusupbek Sharipov delivered a lecture to the students and professors of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
Among those attending the lecture were Viktor Ogneviuk, Rector of the University; Yermek Kanibekov, third secretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine; Nataliia Vіnnіkova, Vice-Rector for Research; Ihor Hrytsiak, Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Relations; Halina Horbenko, Director of the Institute of Journalism; Olha Vyhovska, Head of Scientific Research Laboratory of Internationalization of Higher Education as well as students of the Faculty of Law and International Relations, Institute of Journalism.
Viktor Ogneviuk welcomed the guests of the event, thanked the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine, Zhusupbek Sharipov, for his contribution to the development of international relations between Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.
During the lecture, Mr. Ambassador provided insight on the history of formation of the Kyrgyz statehood and diplomacy, spoke about the cultural traditions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the directions of international cooperation of modern Kyrgyzstan.
During the lecture Mr. Ambassador presented a letter of appreciation and a memorable gift to Professor of the Department of Journalism and New Media of the Institute of Journalism Mykola Vaskiv for translating works written by Chynghiz Aitmatov "When the Mountains fall," "The White Cloud of Genghis Khan", which he committed to the 90th anniversary of birth of the famous Kyrgyz writer Chynghis Aitmatov.
