On May 15-16, 2019, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Health, Physical Education and Sports: Prospects and Best Practices" was held at the Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
The main goal of the conference is to bring together Ukrainian and foreign researchers, scientists and experts to exchange experiences, search for effective approaches to the application of modern wellness technologies, innovative practices in sports and physical education. Leading experts from 9 countries of the world have joined the conference this year.
The participants of the conference were greeted by: Nataliia Vinnikova, Vice-Rector for Research of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Associate Professor and Volodymyr Borysenko, Head of Charity Fund "City of Dreams", patron of the event.
On May 15, 2019, at the plenary session "Olympic Sports and Physical Education" the speeches were delivered by: Gabor Geczy, Head of the Sports Management Department at University of Physical Education in Budapest, Ph.D., Professor, Hungary (subject of the report: "Sport Result vs Harmonious Development: Youth Sports Problems" ); Vilma Cingiene, Professor of the Institute of Leadership and Strategic Management at Mykolas Romeris University, Ph.D., Professor, Republic of Lithuania (subject of the report: "Challenges of Analyzing Sport Labor Market in Lithuania"); Maximilian Wdowski, Lecturer of School of Life Sciences at Coventry University, Ph.D., United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (subject of the report: “Understanding the Role of the Arms in Postural Control and Investigating Inter-Limb Asymmetries in Team Sport Athletes); Agota Lenart, Head of the Department of Psychology and Sport Psychology at University of Physical Education, Psychologist of the Hungarian National Olympic Team, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Hungary (subject of the report: "Sport Psychological Preparation of Hungarian National Team to Olympic Games in London 2012"); Mark Hull, Director of International Development of the 3D Institute, United States of America (subject of the report: "When What I Do Becomes Who I am." Sport and Identity).
At the plenary session "Physical Rehabilitation and Sport Medicine" the presentations were made by: Olena Lysenko, Professor of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Biokinesiology of the Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Doctor of Sciences in Biology, Professor, Ukraine (subject of the report: "Modern Principles of Functional Diagnostics and Physical Rehabilitation"); Akos Koller, Chairman of the Academic Council of University of Physical Education in Budapest, Ph.D., MD, Professor, Hungary (subject of the report: "Role of Hemodynamic Forces in the Adaptation of Coronary Circulation to Exercise"); Mitat Koz, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Professor at Ankara University, Ph.D., PT, Republic of Turkey (subject of the report: "Can Sports Injuries be Prevented: The Relationship Between Training Load and Sport Injuries"); Yeshayahu Hutzler, Former President of International Federation of Adaptive Physical Activity, Professor of Israel Sports Center for People with Disabilities, Head of Graduate School at Academic College in Wingate, Ph.D., Professor, State of Israel (subject of the report: "Inclusion of Persons with Special Needs for Physical Education and Exercise "); Jan Verbeck, Ophthalmologist at Klinikum Bielefeld, Ph.D., MD, Federal Republic of Germany (subject of the report: "Sport Traumas in Ophthalmology"); Vaclav Kvitek, Lecturer of the Department of Health Care Disciplines and Population Protection of Czech Technical University, MD, Czech Republic (subject of the report: "The Role of Physical Education Teacher and Coach in Management of Some Sport Injuries").
On May 16, 2019, a series of master classes was held:
Agota Lenart, Head of the Department of Psychology and Sports Psychology at University of Physical Education, Psychologist of the Hungarian National Olympic Team, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Hungary (subject: "Modern Approaches to Psychological Preparation of Elite Athletes"); Mark Hull, Director of International Development of the 3D Institute, United States of America (subject: "Creating a Growth Mindset ").
The conference participants continued their work during the sessions:
• "Olympic and Professional Sport";
• "Physical Education of Different Groups of Population";
• "Modern Wellness Technologies, Physical Therapy and Ergotherapy".
After the conference, the representatives of the Faculty of Health, Physical Education and Sports together with foreign guests visited the annual Charity Ball in the Kyiv City State Administration.
On May 13-18, 2019, the international partner meetings with members of delegations were held. During these meetings the prospects for further cooperation, signing of agreements and realization of joint projects were discussed.
