At the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University continues series of seminars for scientific and pedagogical staff, students, graduate students, doctoral students on using of resources platform «Web of Science», to which University had test access since April 2016.

Participants have the opportunity to learn how to search and gather information on the platform Web of Science; how to identify the highest priority areas of research in their field of science; finding collaboration partners and organizations that fund grants; how to search for external reviewers of the scientific journal; how to choose the magazine for its publication; how to work with managers to process bibliographic reference list; how to track their index of citations and publications of its staff unit of the university; how to create your own profile in the registers of scientists and Researcher ID and ORCID for their correct citation of articles, opportunities to participate in international rankings scientists, applying for grants, etc.; how to distinguish "predatory" magazines do not fall into the hands of crooks etc.

Seminars has been already held at the Faculty of Law and International Relations, Institute of Philology, University College. Seminars are conducted by the scientific researcher of SRL of internationalization of higher education Tetiana Opryshko.

20th October 2016, with this topic was the representative of Thomson Reuters Irina Tyhonkova at the Faculty of History and Philosophy. After the report, participants had the opportunity to ask questions. Ms. Irina also gave to the University library book "Guide to scientometrics: Indicators of development of science and technology."

October 21st, 2016 Center of Leadership Programs conducted training day on request of the Student Council of the Faculty of Law and International Relations.

The training program was very intense and interesting. In particular, participants of the training discussed and developed skills in the following topics:

1.The importance of values in life.

2.Motivation of activities.

3. TimeManagement.

4.Teamandteamwork.

5. Respect.

Due to this training, members of Student Council had an opportunity to become better acquainted with one another, develop the skills of cooperation in the team, learn about the features of different roles in the team and define its future strategy.

The trainers were Olena Bondareva and Maria Cherpak from the Center of Leadership Programs.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.
