Alessandro Tasso as a participant of Academic Mobility Erasmus + arrived to our University for academic exchange with the University of Foggia (Italy).
Alessandro studied at the Institute of Philology and he chose to study the following subjects: "Pedagogy", "Philosophy and Religion", "English Practice", "ICT in teaching" and "Classical Philology". Alessandro took part in various events organised by the Romance languages department, he gave workshops on Italian Culture and presented his region to the students of Italian language.
We are happy to provide Erasmus + opportunities for academic mobility for students and teachers and we look forward to further cooperation with European partners.

On 23 May in Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University known linguist, professor of Columbia University (USA), Yuri Shevchuk gave a lecture "Language and War" for students and pedagogical staff of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, which revealed in details the historical forms of assimilation pressure; expressed views on so called policy of mix "language with the tongue"; analyzed the use of Ukrainian and Russian languages in the media; stressed that the linguistic situation caused by political, economic and cultural transformations in society.

Students and professors had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion devoted to the language issue in modern Ukraine.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.

The benefits for our University as a member of the Association are as follows:

- We get access to Association services and benefit from their work.

- We can add our voice to the debate on adult education and actively support the advocacy work for adult education in Europe.

- We join a network of more than 120 associations from across Europe and more than 120 associations from across Europe.
