Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University 

On April 29, 2025, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University welcomed His Excellency Mr. Masashi Nakagome, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine, along with First Secretary Udjihara Takaaki and Counsellor for Culture and General Affairs of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine Denys Hordiienko. Grinchenko University was represented at the meeting with the distinguished guests by Acting Rector Oleksandr Turuntsev, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, Head of the University Academic Council Nataliia Vinnikova, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Languages Ivan Semenist, Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Relations Mykola Kulinich and Head of the Department of Japanese Language and Translation Kostiantyn Komisarov.

Within the program Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching, from April 28 to May 2, 2025, lecturers of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University – Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology, Culture and Art, PhD in Pedagogy Tetiana Horokhova and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, PhD Tetiana Horodilova took part in academic mobility at the University of Palermo (Università Degli Studi Di Palermo), Italy.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.

European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.

The benefits for our University as a member of the Association are as follows:

- We get access to Association services and benefit from their work.

- We can add our voice to the debate on adult education and actively support the advocacy work for adult education in Europe.

- We join a network of more than 120 associations from across Europe and more than 120 associations from across Europe.

- We can join EAEA events and share information and experiences in the educational issues.
