The Faculty comprises 124 employees who teach English, German, Italian, Spanish and French.

9 professors are Doctors of Philology or Doctors of Education who have experience in both research and teaching.

46 employees have PhD degrees, earned both as Doctor of Philosophy (defended after 2020) and as Candidates of Sciences (defended in earlier years).

The Faculty focuses on teaching the following European languages as foreign:

English

German

Italian

Spanish

French

Consequently, Germanic and Romance languages are the expertise of our teachers and professors. Since Philology is treated broadly, the interests and expertise of our staff cover such areas as Literary Studies, Translation Studies, Semantics, Pragmatics, Communication, Styles, and Discourse.

Another area of expertise for the faculty is teaching these languages for specific purposes to students of different majors who need to improve their initial foreign language skills.

Also, the faculty deals with modern issues of education, thus contributing to Pedagogy, Language Teaching Methodology, and Education Administration.
