On August 15, 2019, at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Rector of the University Viktor Ogneviuk had a meeting with Finnish colleagues Kari Liuhto, Professor of the Turku School of Economics at Turku University and Jukka Tulivuory, Counsellor (Education) of the Embassy of Finland in Ukraine. The meeting was also attended by Andrii Ramskyi, Head of the Finance and Economics Department of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Management; Valeriia Loiko, Professor of the Department of Finance and Economics, Faculty of Information Technologies and Management; Olha Vyhovska, Head of Scientific-Research Laboratory of Internationalization of Higher Education; Iryna Mankovska, Research Fellow of Scientific-Research Laboratory of Internationalization of Higher Education.

The participants of the meeting agreed to start cooperation with the preparation of a joint project related to circular economy, provide training programs on urban studies, conduct workshops on environmental issues, exchange researchers and develop academic mobility of students, lecturers and administrative staff.

With the support of Erasmus + KA107 program, our students have the opportunity to study at the partner universities of the program during the semester, receiving a scholarship there. Two students of the Institute of Philology at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, in specialty “Philology (Italian Language and Literature)” Khrystyna Makar and Yevgeniia Buriak share the impressions of their own experience in regard to participating in the Erasmus + program:

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.

The benefits for our University as a member of the Association are as follows:

- We get access to Association services and benefit from their work.

- We can add our voice to the debate on adult education and actively support the advocacy work for adult education in Europe.

- We join a network of more than 120 associations from across Europe and more than 120 associations from across Europe.

- We can join EAEA events and share information and experiences in the educational issues.
