The faculty students’ rate allows part taking in the international academic mobility programs in the universities of Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Japan at the base of relevant inter-institutional agreements on cooperation.
As well the faculty scholars’ media activity is aimed at transmitting worldwide the existential essence of the threat of Russian aggression against Ukraine for the international peace and security.
Moreover, the students popularize the principles of academic integrity and legal literacy through the implementation of projects "Academic integrity: destroyers of legends", "School of academic integrity", "Lawyer online" and others.
We also facilitate the students’ cooperation with public organizations "Center for International Security", "European Institute", "Pan Europe Ukraine", "League of Students of the Association of Lawyers of Ukraine" and analytical centers "ADASTRA", "OsvitAnalytika" and other influential civil society stakeholders in Ukraine and abroad.  

 

 

Academic staff of the faculty includes 10 doctors of science, 7 professors, 15 PhDs and 12 associate professors. 

 

Key work areas
The faculty's educational and methodological activities are aimed at forming a new generation of international experts and lawyers capable to develop own professional growth trajectory.
The research work is concentrated in the field of private and public law, international law and international relations.
As well we conduct international, all-Ukrainian and regional scientific events (conferences, round tables etc.)
We train lawyers, international lawyers, diplomats and analysts.
The faculty is active internationally, cooperating with a number of foreign educational and public institutions and organizations.
The faculty's humanitarian and pedagogical work is aimed at upbringing patriotic, self-confident citizens able to change the world for the better.
Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University’s Legal Clinic Astraea was established in 2014 to enhance practical knowledge and skills of law students and senior students who are taking their practical training. Practicing adherence to and respect for Rule of Law, justice and human dignity enables future lawyers to understand the value and significance of academic knowledge and to master the methodology and technique of its practical implementation and execution.

The Faculty of Law and International Relations cooperates with educational institutions and public organizations abroad.
Partner organizations with which contracts have been concluded:
• European Educational Academy (Austria);
• Pan-European Union of Austria (Austria);
• Vilnius University (Lithuania) (academic program of students mobility);
• Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland) (academic program of students mobility),
• University of Foggia (Italy),
• University of Cadiz (Spain).
Scientific and pedagogical staff took part in international projects and grants, in particular, with:
The University of Warsaw (Poland),
The American Council (USA),
Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany),
The Associations for International Affairs (Czech Republic).
Faculty members and students participated in academic mobility programs to various European countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, Spain, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, France), as well as to the USA and Japan.
