Over the period of October-December 2018, a junior research fellow of the SRL of Archeology at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Olha Zaitseva, completed the research training program at the Institute of Pre- and Protohistoric Archeology at Christian Albrecht University (Kiel, Germany).
The training took place as a part of the CRC-1266 Scales of Transformation research project and was completed under the terms of the Agreement between Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and the Institute of Pre- and Protohistoric Archeology at Christian Albrecht University in Kiel. CRC-1266 aims to analyze the transformational processes of important stages of human history from the period of late Pleistocene hunters-collectors to early state formations.
The Institute focuses on the archeological research mainly of the Neolithic and Bronze Age, the Paleolithic, as well as early and late Middle Ages and modern times. The Institute of Pre-and Protohistoric Archeology has carried out numerous archaeological researches not only in Germany, but also abroad, in particular, in the settlements of Trypillian culture in Ukraine. During 2017-2018, an international team of researchers from Christian Albrecht University, Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, with participation of scientists from Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University started exploring the settlements of the Kukuthen-Trypillia cultural complex in the midst of the Southern Bug and Dniester. One of the tasks of the program was to find out more about modern methods of processing and analysis of archaeological data worked out on materials from the settlement White Stone, obtained in 2018 as a result of the joint expedition.
Further cooperation with the Institute of Pre- and Protohistoric Archeology is aimed at preparation of joint research projects, field studies, in particular, the continuation of the work on the study of Trypillia settlements in the Bug-Dniester interstream area.

On January 18, 2019, with initiation and support from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine, the celebration of the traditional Chinese New Year - Spring Festival was held at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Mr Du Wei with his wife, the Consul General of the PRC Mr Sun Liucun, diplomatic staff of the Chinese Embassy with families, Chinese students studying at various institutions of higher education in Ukraine and other guests.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.
