On 23 May in Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University known linguist, professor of Columbia University (USA), Yuri Shevchuk gave a lecture "Language and War" for students and pedagogical staff of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, which revealed in details the historical forms of assimilation pressure; expressed views on so called policy of mix "language with the tongue"; analyzed the use of Ukrainian and Russian languages in the media; stressed that the linguistic situation caused by political, economic and cultural transformations in society.

Students and professors had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion devoted to the language issue in modern Ukraine.

May 16, 2017 to Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University visited Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Republic of Korea in Ukraine Lee Yang-Goo, Director of the Korean Education Center in Ukraine Yu Sang-Bom and Secretary of the Embassy Kateryna Chorna.
Viktor Ogneviuk, Rector of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University greeted the guests and students’ community. After the welcoming speech Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Republic of Korea in Ukraine Lee Yang-Goo gave a lecture about the three miracles of Korea, national values and spiritual ideals strategy of cooperation between our countries well as the need of development of human capital.
After the lecture, students had the opportunity to ask questions of diplomatic experience of Ambassador and learn the secrets of the success of the Republic of Korea.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.
