Scientific activity at the Faculty of Oriental Languages is carried out in accordance with the Corporate Standard of Scientific Activity of Employees
Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University", the Code of Scientific Ethics and is an integral part of the educational process.
It is carried out on the basis of the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", the Statute of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, and regulations on the organisation of research work at the university.
The Faculty's scientific activity is focused on a comprehensive study of various aspects of modern linguistics, translation studies, literary studies and methods of teaching foreign languages.
The Faculty's scientific activities are carried out by 3 departments that train higher education students at the first level of higher education "Bachelor" and the second level of higher education "Master", which, in accordance with the requirements of university education, are actively engaged in scientific and practical research and have relevant publications.
The collegial governing body of the Faculty is the Academic Council, which includes academic staff and student representatives.

The largest project is the Forum of Young Orientalists, an annual scientific event that brings together orientalists from all over the world to listen to a course of open lectures and participate in roundtables. Every year, Borys Grinchenko's University publishes a collection of abstracts presented at the forum.
