Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University is a recognised centre of Oriental Studies in Ukraine and the world with one of the most powerful team of Orientalists who are constantly working on expanding educational, scientific and cultural ties with the countries of the East!

The teaching staff of the educational programmes "Language and Literature (Japanese)" and "Language and Literature (Chinese)" includes 30 teachers, including 7 native Chinese and Japanese speakers. The University's teachers have experience in the diplomatic sphere, executive authorities, the public sector, representative offices of foreign companies in Ukraine, and work in private companies in China and Japan, which provides our students with the knowledge that is needed in the modern world.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Faculty will launch a new study programme "Language and Literature (Korean)"! All the most modern trends in the development of Oriental studies and linguistics were taken into account during its creation. The Faculty already employs leading experts in Korean studies not by Ukraine but also in Europe.
