In April 2021, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University won an international UN grant "Gender-ing ELT: International perspectives, practices, policies", focused on real developments in the field of sustainable development of the United Nations on gender equality. The aim of the project is to study gender challenges in teaching English in the conditions of inclusiveness and equal access. 10 partner countries, led by the British Council, will start cooperation and research, which will continue during 2021-2022. Ukraine will be represented in this project by Anna Chesnokova, Professor of the Department of English Philology and Translation at the Institute of Philology.

On April 5, 2021, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University joined the Erasmus + Days for Youth of Ukraine event, organized by the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine and the Erasmus Students Network team. Erasmus + academic mobility opportunities were discussed at the event, Erasmus Mundus programs and individual educational opportunities for students were presented. Grinchenko University made a presentation of their own existing academic mobility programs under the signed Erasmus + agreements with HEIs and outlined special details of participation in such programs. The event was joined by the students of the University who have participated and are currently participating in Erasmus + programs: Khrystyna Makar and Yevhenia Buriak ("Italian Philology", program with the University of Foggia, Italy), Nadiia Matkivska ("International Law", program with the European Humanities University, Lithuania), Yevhenia Skybynska, Anna Diatlova, Daria Rodina (Spanish Philology, program with the University of Cadiz, Spain). The students shared their experience of participating in the Erasmus + program, talked about the peculiarities of learning and inspired participants to participate in such programs.

On the 14th – 17th 2011 in Malmo, Sweden, the General Assembly of European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) approved the application form of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University as an Associate Member of EAEA.


European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the European non-profit organization and a European NGO with 116 member organizations in 43 countries. EAEA influences EU policies on non-formal adult education and lifelong learning; represents adult education civil society in official working groups and conferences.

The benefits for our University as a member of the Association are as follows:

- We get access to Association services and benefit from their work.

- We can add our voice to the debate on adult education and actively support the advocacy work for adult education in Europe.

- We join a network of more than 120 associations from across Europe and more than 120 associations from across Europe.

- We can join EAEA events and share information and experiences in the educational issues.
